Gary joined the UC FGR office in September 2005 and served from as associate vice president from 2009 - 2017. He currently focuses on national laboratory-related issues. Prior to joining UC, Gary was the president of Falle Strategies and a director at Kissinger McLarty Associates, an international business consulting firm. Gary previously served as chief of staff to Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson and as acting assistant secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy.
Prior to his work on the federal level, Gary was appointed state-federal relations director for the state of Ohio, worked with Florida Governor Lawton Chiles on a project to improve government accountability to taxpayers, and served as assistant executive director at the South Florida Water Management District. Gary was also a budget and taxation analyst for the Ohio Legislature and the National Conference of State Legislatures. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Dayton and a M.S. in Social and Applied Economics at Wright State University.
