The Subsidizing Unpaid Interns Program (SUIP) provides UCDC students who secure an unpaid internship with a $1,000 scholarship. A student who secures an internship and is compensated less than $1,000 will receive the difference up to $1,000.
SUIP is only offered during the academic year (fall, winter, and spring quarters/semesters).
Once funds are processed by financial aid, they will be reflected in each student's financial aid account/awards.
Funds may show up in a variety of ways based on each students' financial aid package/eligibility.
SUIP Funds may be disbursed as a refund or in the following ways:
To reduce student loan debt by the amount of the award.
Be awarded at an amount less than the $1000 maximum eligibility.
Be disbursed in a future semester or term.
