Governance
The UC Washington Program (UCDC) is a unit organized under the Department of Academic Personnel and Programs within the University of California Office of the President’s (UCOP) Division of Academic Affairs. Governance of UCDC is provided by a Governing Council of senior UC management and representatives of the systemwide Academic Senate.
Additionally, the Academic Advisory Committee (AAC) provides advice on academic matters to the Executive Director of UCDC as well as the Governing Council and the UC Provost and Executive Vice President (or designees). AAC membership includes a faculty member or faculty administrator from each of the nine undergraduate campuses who has administrative responsibility for the UCDC program.
The Governing Council selects the Executive Director, authorizes the University of California Washington Program's annual operating budget and provides oversight of overall operations.
The membership of this council includes senior UC management and representatives of the system wide AcademicSenate. Members are appointed by the campus Executive Vice Chancellors and the University Provost for Academic Affairs.
