Jennifer Steinhauer is a Congressional correspondent for The New York Times, where she has written hundreds of articles on topics ranging from Obamacare, foreign policy, and rising partisanship to the quality of food served in the Capitol’s cafeterias.
Steinhauer previously was The New York Times Los Angeles Bureau Chief. While in California, she co-authored Beverly Hills Adjacent, a novel featuring a UCLA poetry professor married to an obsessed Hollywood TV writer. She won the Newswoman’s Club of New York Front Page Deadline Reporting Award in 2006 for her reporting on Hurricane Katrina.
