Welcome UCDC Alumni

More than 10,000 students have participated in the University of California Washington program. Many have returned to California to pursue jobs or graduate school, while others have returned to Washington to pick up where their UCDC experience left off.

We welcome back all UCDC alumni to participate in programs, attend forums, and mentor current students. Check back with this web site in the coming months to find out what your classmates are up to and how you can reconnect. Until then, we invite you to keep up with events and friends through UCDC’s Facebook page.

Alumni Advisory Board

The University of California, Washington Center Alumni Advisory Board is an informal body of University of California alumni in the Washington D. C. area who are interested in assisting the academic program of the UC Washington Center. University of California alumni who are interested in joining the Alumni Advisory Board should contact Janou Gordon at Janou.Gordon@ucdc.edu.

Alumni Mentorship Program

This program is designed to facilitate networking and mentoring of UCDC quarter and semester program students, using our extensive alumni contacts and resources in the Washington, DC area.  The program provides a structured way to explore and facilitate mentorship arrangements, and serves the interests of students and alumni of UCDC and UC schools in general.

For alumni who wish to ‘give back’ to UCDC and their home UC schools, the UCDC Intern/Alumni Mentorship Program is a structured and systematic way to contribute their insights, advice, and potential further contact for students’ professional development.  Alumni participants are pre-screened in order to determine their eligibility, availability, and specific ‘fit’ for students in different internship and professional sectors.

Give to UCDC

Many students consider their time at the University of California Washington Center (UCDC) the capstone experience of their undergraduate education.  Most believe that it was instrumental to determining their path after college and getting them started in their career.

Experiential learning programs, such as UCDC, are quickly becoming a ‘must have’ opportunity for college students.  UCDC offers students the chance to learn in a unique setting far from the campus lecture halls, and to gain real-world work experience that prospective employers value.

A gift, small or large, to UCDC can help future students participate in the program and ensure that UCDC maintains its standing as a center of academic excellence. Your gift can be used to fund:

  • Scholarships and fellowships
  • Expansion of curriculum and special education opportunities
  • Assist in the maintenance of UCDC facilities and infrastructure
