This course will be taught by Roger Reynolds and is specifically targeted at students interested in music composition. Students will work with Professor Reynolds to hone their music composition skills. As the final project, students will create a composition that will be recorded by a professional quartet, the JACK Quartet. Two of these compositions selected by the quartet will be performed in a public concert at the National Gallery of Art in early June. It is the expectation that enrollment will number between 6-8 students drawn from all UC campuses. Acceptance in this course is by invitation of Professor Reynolds. Students not accepted into this course may still participate in any of the other Arts courses at UCDC. The class will meet in Room 210, 2nd floor.
