Description:

Washington, DC has become the location of one of the fastest growing and most exciting theater districts in the country: attracting many internationally acclaimed actors, directors and writers and serving as a testing ground for many new productions before there New York or London debuts. Additionally, since its inception Washington DC has been the locus of America’s political theater; often generating outrageous characters or behavior that serves as fodder for theatrical productions. In this course we will examine both aspects of the Nation’s capital through the lens of its rich theatrical life.

NOTE: There is a course materials fee of approximately $100.50 for this course. Fee is used to cover the cost of attendance at three plays. Fee must be paid to UCDC University Cashier by Friday, January 17, 2014 to receive credit for this course.
