Monday Forum: Felicia Escobar

 
Felicia Escobar is President Obama’s top immigration adviser. She was instrumental in Obama’s executive order providing security to undocumented children and students (DACA) and his push for a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants. Most recently she has been active in the White House’s new citizenship awareness campaign that aims to encourage nearly nine million lawful permanent residents to become U.S. citizens. 
 
Prior to the White House, Escobar worked for Senator Ken Salazar (D-Colorado) and was Associate Director of the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee. She started her career working for the National Council of La Raza. Escobar is an alumnus of Yale University and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
