Speaker: Dan Balz, Chief Correspondent at The Washington Post

All UCDC students are invited to Steve Scully’s class, Money, Media, and Message: Road to the White House 2016, where Dan Balz, Chief Correspondent and political writer at The Washington Post will discuss his experiences covering every presidential election since 1980. With the 2016 presidential race right around the corner, Dan will provide real, historical context from a first person perspective. 
 
Dan is the author of a number of books, including: The Battle for America 2008: The Story of an Extraordinary Election and Collision 2012: Obama vs. Romney and the Future of Election Politics. He has served as the National Editor, Political Editor, White House correspondent, and Southwest correspondent for The Washington Post. He is a regular panelist on PBS’s “Washington Week” and MSNBC’s “Daily Rundown” and is a frequent guest on other public affairs programs.
