  1. From the "Tools" menu of your browser, click on the "Internet Options" entry
  2. Click on the tab labeled "Connections"
  3. Click on the "LAN Settings" button
  4. Check the checkboxes labeled "Automatically detect settings" and "Use automatic configuration script"
  5. Enter the following URL into the field labeled "Address" http://ucsbuxa.ucsb.edu:9000/ucsblibrary
  6. Remove "Use a proxy server" if present.
  7. The "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings" menu should look like the image below. Click OK.
  8. Click OK on the "Internet Options" menu.

Use U-Mail user ID and password to login. For additional information about setting up a proxy for your campus refer to http://www.library.ucsb.edu/proxy/.
