  1. From the "Tools" menu of your browser, click on the "Internet Options" entry
  2. Click on the tab labeled "Connections"
  3. Click on the "LAN Settings" button
  4. Check the checkbox labeled "Use automatic configuration script"
  5. Enter the following URL into the field labeled "Address" http://proxy.ucla.edu/cgi/proxy
  6. Remove checkmarks from "Automatically detect settings" and "Use a proxy server" if present.
  7. The "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings" menu should look like the image below. Click OK.
  8. Click OK on the "Internet Options" menu.

When you access a UCLA restricted site, a secure page will ask you to enter your BOL username and BOL password before proceeding to the site. For additional information about setting up a proxy for your campus refer to http://www-no.ucsd.edu/documentation/application/squid/index.html.
