Lauren Vrazilek is the Deputy Press Secretary to First Lady Michelle Obama. A UCDC alum and graduate of UC Santa Barbara, Lauren began interning in the First Lady’s Correspondence shortly after her graduation in 2011. In 2011, she was hired as the Deputy Director of Correspondence and later became the Director of Correspondence for the First Lady. Lauren interned for Representative Brad Sherman (D-CA 30th District) in the Winter of 2010 while participating in UCDC.
As Deputy Press Secretary to the First Lady, Lauren manages press and communications for Mrs. Obama’s Reach Higher initiative, Joining Forces initiative, and “official duties,” such as State Dinners or Holiday Press Previews.
